At a World Scout Jamboree hosted by Denmark, the individual Scout or Guide will get to experience Danish values such as gender equality, democracy and youth empowerment from an international perspective. In a cultural meeting, participants will learn that there are different ways of seeing the world, and by being curious, open-minded and by merely being close to each other, we can create respect and understanding across cultures and borders. The goal of creating a long-term impact in each participant will make an actual difference to the individual and to the world.
We appreciate the ISTs and adult leaders as valuable contributors to the World Scout Jamboree and our movement. Emphasizing the importance of volunteering, we aim to highlight the significant tasks volunteers do worldwide. The 27th World Scout Jamboree will have a comprehensive program for ISTs and Adult Leaders, allowing them to engage during their free time. We prioritize giving ISTs time off and providing advice to adult leaders on prioritizing self-time while still managing their troops. Adult leaders can also participate in activities if they wish.
Our proposal is for the 27th World Scout Jamboree to last 12 days from 28 July 2031 to 8 August 2031. The suggested period offers the most favourable conditions in terms of both the weather and the climate in Denmark and will be optimal for the Jamboree participants to take an active part in the programme activities and enjoy the Danish countryside. The period also overlaps with the traditional summer holiday season in Denmark and a majority of other countries and will not clash with the start of any school terms. Moreover, the suggested time frame is common for the other World Scout Jamborees organised in the Northern Hemisphere to this date.
The age requirement for participating in the World Scout Jamboree is set for Scouts and Guides between the ages of 14 and 17. If you are older than 17 at the time of the Jamboree, you can still take part in the Jamboree either as a IST (International Service Team), Adult leaders, CMT (Contingent Management Team) or as part of the Jamboree Planning team.
A World Scout Jamboree is a large-scale international gathering organized by the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). The World Scout Jamboree is the largest international youth festival that attracts tens of thousands of young people and leaders from 170 member countries once every four years. The event involves various outdoor activities, educational programs, and opportunities for Scouts to learn about different cultures. World Scout Jamborees provide a unique experience for young people involved in Scouting to interact with their peers from diverse backgrounds on a global scale.
For a remarkably well-connected country, Denmark offers an array of transportation options to ensure a sustainable arrival at the Jamboree. Despite its size, Denmark features three airports with international arrivals and departures. Copenhagen Airport, the largest, serves as a hub connecting directly to major airports such as Doha, Cairo, New York, Addis Ababa, Istanbul, Bangkok, and more. Public transportation options to the campsite include trains from various major European cities, as well as buses and ferries from neighboring countries
If you wish to visit the Jamboree as a guest and not a participant or adult volunteer, you can sign up for a Day pass where you will be able to enjoy the Jamboree culture and vibe.

For a small country, Denmark is very well connected to the outside world. From overnight trains and coaches to flights, ferries and long distance cycling routes, the possibilities are many to ensure a safe and sustainable arrival to the Jamboree.
Denmark, a consistently safe host for Jamborees, ensures a secure environment. Collaborating closely with national and local police, a dedicated police station at the Jamboree site ensures positive daily interactions. Safety protocols involve both internal and external emergency management, with planning team volunteers and ISTs crucially supported by authorities. Ambulances and fire trucks are on-site, supplemented by additional units on standby. The Jamboree's hospital can handle most cases, with serious ones referred to nearby hospitals— a local hospital 4 km away and a regional one 26 km from the campsite.
We believe in the importance of good food for well-being and appreciate its cultural significance. Our commitment is to provide all participants with a positive culinary experience that meets high standards in taste and nutrition. We aim to offer a variety of food options to suit different dietary and cultural needs.
We will have toilet compartments for people with disabilities.
WiFi will cover the entire campsite with ample capacity for all participants. Additionally, there's 5G cellular data coverage, and Denmark plans for 6G by 2030. Our strong collaboration with Danish mobile operators ensures reliable connectivity.
The Jamboree's program activities are designed to contribute to building a better world, focusing on relevant areas outlined by WOSM and the successor to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, expected in 2030. It serves as an opportunity to implement existing WOSM initiatives and test new educational concepts. Participants will enjoy a diverse program filled with exciting and fun activities while experiencing the Jamboree's tradition initiated in 1924 in Denmark. The basic camp life program frames an engaging and joyful Jamboree, where participants work in patrols, sleep in tents, build camp infrastructure, cook over a campfire, and form lasting friendships during evening campfires with fellow Scouts and Guides.
Recyclables and scrap containers will be placed at each Subcamp; extra recycling bins will also be set up. Liners will be individually given to campers.
Only authorized vehicles will be accessible at the campsite. Get to Welcome Center by car or bus; a shuttle will wait for you and take you to the place for daily visitors.
Food is a vital component of our well-being, and we acknowledge its deep cultural influence. We are committed to ensure that all participants have a positive culinary experience during their stay that live up to both a high culinary and nutritious standard. Our goal is to provide an ample variety of food options, catering to diverse dietary and cultural needs.
Absolutely! We encourage scouts and guides to apply for roles in the planning team throughout the years leading up to the camp. Additionally, there will be options available for IST and other positions.
In Denmark, we have a strong culture of meaningful youth involvement and participation. In alignment with WOSM's strategic goals, we aspire to empower young people to be part of the highest levels of the planning organization. To address this, we intend to establish an organizational structure where several leadership roles operate as partnerships. This approach means that two individuals will jointly oversee an area, allowing us to pair an experienced profile with a younger profile to share responsibilities. This not only enhances the resilience of the organization but also ensures that work continues seamlessly, even if one person needs to step away temporarily.
Should Denmark be the chosen host of the 27th World Scout Jamboree, we are committed to ensuring that the planning process reflects the diversity of WOSM's most significant international gathering. Our approach includes actively involving members from various regions, cultures, and language groups within the Scouting community in the planning team of the 27th World Scout Jamboree. We view this as a unique opportunity to embrace the diverse needs and expectations associated with a World Scout Jamboree, making it a truly international and inclusive event.
